Globeducate and WFUNA: Empowering Global Citizens Through Education
At Globeducate, we prepare each student to be a global citizen who can shape the world. Our partnership with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) strengthens this commitment by creating new opportunities for students and teachers to engage with global issues, develop leadership skills and make a positive impact in their communities.
Since 2020, students across our schools have been exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through learning, projects, debates and international collaborations. Together with WFUNA, we are expanding these opportunities and helping students connect their learning with real-world action.
What does this partnership mean for our students?
Through the partnership, students will have opportunities to:
- Participate in WFUNA Model United Nations conferences around the world.
- Develop leadership, communication and diplomacy skills.
- Learn more about the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Take part in the WFUNA Act4Impact programme, creating projects that address challenges in their local communities.
- Collaborate with young people from different countries and cultures.
- Build confidence as active and responsible global citizens.
How will teachers benefit?
Teachers will have access to professional development opportunities designed to strengthen global citizenship education across our schools, including:
- Training and resources linked to the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Professional learning programmes developed in collaboration with WFUNA.
- New approaches to embedding global citizenship into teaching and learning.
- Opportunities to connect and collaborate with educators from across the world.
Model United Nations and Global Citizenship
Model United Nations has become an important part of the Globeducate experience, helping students develop critical thinking, public speaking and problem-solving skills while exploring international issues.
Our partnership with WFUNA will provide even more opportunities for students to participate in authentic UN-inspired experiences. In 2027, Globeducate's annual Model United Nations event will take place in Geneva, where students will have the opportunity to experience the international environment at the heart of global cooperation.

As parents, the message that is being transmitted at school is also reaching home, as our children make us aware of everything they are learning and they ask us to reduce the amount of plastic and to recycle at home, and to use less water.
