Language as a tool for multicultural understanding
We believe that the need to understand and appreciate other cultures, and using language learning as a tool to achieve this, is a current reality that is becoming more and more important as the pace of globalisation accelerates. A large majority of our schools are bilingual and use English as the main working language alongside the local language of each school. We also offer our students the chance to complement their studies with other languages including French, German, Italian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Arabic.
Within the international community the key to success is the ability to communicate with people from different cultures and countries in different languages and the sooner a child is exposed to a second or third language, the easier it will be for him or her to learn it. The opportunity to learn several languages from an early age is one of the unique advantages offered by Globeducate schools.
In addition to promoting foreign language in the classroom, Globeducate also brings together students of more than 70 nationalities via a series of exchange programmes, overseas trips and cultural and sporting events. These activities provide a practical forum for our students to use their language skills and to understand the importance of being able to communicate in languages other than their first language. Linguistic immersion allows our pupils to develop excellent language skills in a short period of time and to gain internationally recognised academic qualifications.

Depending on the particular characteristics of each school, qualifications such as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), the prestigious English A-levels or the American SAT courses are undertaken. These qualifications guarantee the mobility and adaptability of our students and the development of characteristics such as cultural awareness, independent thinking and social conscience.
