Sergio González Andión
Chairman of the Board
Sergio is the Chairman of Globeducate´s Executive Board, following six years leading the company as CEO. During this period, the group´s expansion was significant, almost doubling the number of schools to more than 50 and leading the group´s redefined vision from NACE Schools to Globeduate in 2019. Sergio has held numerous academic positions such as Professor of Strategy at Deusto Business School, Universidad de Navarra, and Associate Professor of Marketing at IESE Business School. Prior to this, he had senior executive roles within the corporate sector at Sonae Industria, and was a partner with McKinsey and Company.
Chief Executive Officer & CEO Italy
Luca took the role of CEO of Globeducate in April 2020, having previously been Globeducate Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of Globeducate Italy, overseeing all operational management in the region. In his new role, Luca spearheads the group´s new vision and under his leadership, schools in the group will fully embed and develop the core values of Educational Excellence, Skills and Competencies, Building Character and Nurturing Global Perspectives. Luca worked in the FMCG sector for more than 25 years, with leadership positions in multinational companies such as Barilla and Unilever and with postings in Italy, the UK and the USA.
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Marketing Officer
Paddy joined Globeducate as the Chief Marketing Officer in December 2018 and moved into the Chief Operating Officer role in 2020. With 15 years’ experience in the education industry, Paddy has held many strategic leadership positions. Prior to joining Globeducate, he led sales, growth and development for Laureate International Universities, a private university group with operations in more than 30 countries, and had postings in Italy, Switzerland and the USA. Paddy is fluent in five language and is passionate about Globeducate´s vision to prepare students to be global citizens who can shape the world.
Francisco Olea Comas
Chief Financial Officer
Francisco has been Corporate Chief Financial Officer of Globeducate since 2016, following eight years at Deloitte in the Mergers and Acquisitions team. He has significant experience of collaboration with IBEX companies and Private Equity funds as well as extensive experience in auditing, due diligence and business valuations. Francisco brings a robust background in managing multiple teams simultaneously and works closely with Globeducate´s M&A team. He is also a board member of many of Globeducate`s internal brands and has led the financial and operational integration of more than 20 schools integrated in the group over the last five years.
Chief Education Officer
Daniel Jones has been Chief Education Officer of Globeducate since 2016. He chairs several Globeducate school boards and with more than 30 years of experience in education, Daniel is responsible for the quality of the educational offering and strategy across the Globeducate network of schools. He has developed the Globeducate Platinum Standard – a bespoke school evaluation framework and development tool – and spends much of his time working closely with school leaders and teachers in our schools and leading professional development initiatives. Prior to his role with Globeducate he was a Headteacher, Inspector and Lead Inspector of Schools for NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain).
Carolina Rodríguez Inciarte
CEO Spain & Andorra
Carolina joined Globeducate in 2014 as a member of the leadership team and is currently the CEO for Spain and Andorra. She is passionate about K-12 education and has a deep understanding of multiple aspects of education organisations. Prior to joining Globeducate, Carolina worked as Director of Strategy and Operations at Achievement First, a network of K-12 public charter schools in US. Several years of experience working in McKinsey and Company and Morgan Stanley also contribute to Carolina’s strategic, management, and finance knowledge and experience. Under her leadership, the group has expanded its IB World School offering in Spain and Andorra and has seen a number of our Spanish international schools achieve top positions in national rankings.
Line Vissot Weil
Line joined Globeducate as CEO of France in 2018 and has 30 years of experience in management and strategic development as well as quality of service and commercial and brand capital. Under her leadership, our team in France has grown to 11 schools, including three successful online school programmes and she has led major rebrands of two schools including ISN Nice and ICS Paris. Prior to joining Globeducate Line held senior management and director-level positions with global brands such as Colgate-Palmolive, Carglass France, FONCIA as well as founding BT3, a Clean Tech start up that won the French Minstry of Research´s 2011 national competition. Line is committed to driving technology in learning innovation in the French market.
CEO UK & Portugal
Mike has worked with Globeducate since 2016 and has overseen a significant growth strategy in Portugal since taking on the role of Director of Nobel International School Algarve, successfully launching a new school campus in the region´s Golden Triangle. With 30 years of experience in education, many of those in private schools in South Africa - where he founded an independent school outside Pretoria which grew to a four-campus group - Mike has extensive knowledge of the sector. He has worked for state, independent and private schools in the UK, South Africa and Portugal and in his earlier career enjoyed pastoral management roles, such as Senior Housemaster of six boys´ boarding houses.
CEO India, Malaysia & Qatar
Ashok has been Chairman and Managing Director of The Indian Public Schools (TIPS) since 2006 and was the catalyst in bringing the first IB World School to Tamil Nadu and Kerala, offering the PYP of the IB Organisation. Working with Cambridge University from the beginning, Ashok has more than 14 years´ experience of leadership in private education and he ensured that TIPS would become international centres for child assessment and evaluation. Having studied and worked in the US, for technology brands such as Microsoft, Intel Corporation and Xerox, Ashok´s vision for TIPS has been to embrace new technology and embed it into all learning.
Jonathan brings strong global experience to Blyth Academy’s CEO role, having led education companies and education business units in the US, Canada, UK and Europe. He joined Globeducate in 2020 and has dedicated his focus to the Education industry for 10 years, effectively managing Online Education businesses and bricks-and-mortar educational institutions. Jonathan has studied and worked in France, Japan and the US and brings a wealth of international experience to our leadership team, having worked closely at board level to build high-performing growth companies, develop leaders for the future and positively impact on the lives of students.
