A creative challenge and a Gala Dinner to support the future of ICS Milan.
This year, the COVID-19 emergency has changed the way we all experience school, cities and spaces. It has made many of us question our lifestyles, prompting us to ask ourselves: How will we change after this pandemic? And will our cities change, too?
ICS Milan project “Cities of the Future”, created by Stefano Paschina, CEO of ICS International School Milan, and developed in partnership with the creative agency Robert Cutty, arose from these questions.
The project started with a creative challenge that asked children and adults to imagine a new post-COVID city. Participants were able to design and represent their ideas and solutions for the future through different artistic mediums (visual arts, music and writing), presenting their works in the form of drawings, songs, stories and poems.
An expert jury selected three winners, one project for each category and the award ceremony took place on Thursday 2nd of July, during the “Cities of the future” Gala Dinner. On this occasion, more than 100 people gathered around a virtual table to raise funds in support of Milanese public schools for the reopening in September and the setting of online learning.
The dinner was entirely in streaming: the participants received the menu, made by chef Carlo Cracco and pastry chefs Debora and Iginio Massari, comfortably at home, in practical food boxes.
During the evening, the participants were treated to contributions from famous figures from Milanese art and culture, including numerous artists and singers who entertained with incredible live performances.
All of this has been possible thanks to the commitment of different companies and realities, united to support the future of education and students, the soon-to-be new citizens of this world.
