Arts Competition

The Globeducate Virtual Arts Competition is an annual international event that brings together young artists from Globeducate schools worldwide to showcase their creative talents. Open to students aged 5 to 18 across all our schools globally at a local level, with final submissions made virtually, this competition spans multiple artistic disciplines, including visual arts, creative writing, photography, and performing arts.

Each year, the competition adopts a unique theme aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encouraging students to explore important global issues through their creative work. The Arts Competition not only enhances students' artistic skills but also fosters critical thinking, creativity, and empathy—skills essential for success in the modern world.

The competition aims to:

  • Encourage artistic development among students.

  • Celebrate cultural diversity and promote international collaboration within the Globeducate community

  • Strengthen and celebrate the group's international identity by connecting students from different nationalities and backgrounds through art.

"Arts are a powerful medium for expressing ideas and emotions. This competition not only showcases our students’ incredible talents but also highlights important global issues. I encourage every student to participate and let their creativity flow. Remember, every piece of art has the potential to inspire and make a difference"

Monica Fontán, Director of Education at Globeducate

"As our group of school expands, this Arts competition is an ideal conduit to showcase the unique skills of our students across the many different countries and cultures that make up our global learning community. It is also a Globeducate event that allows for all students of all ages to be able to participate at a school level before entries are selected to represent the schools. The effort, passion and dedication that was expended into these artistic pieces of work was undeniable. This Globeducate event provided students with the opportunity to expressively communicate their original thoughts and ideas. What we saw from the final submissions was an inspiring display of creativity and talent that has been nurtured and supported by our own team of talented teachers"

Oanh Crouch, Director of Education at Globeducate

The competition is divided into four age groups—Lower Primary (5-7), Upper Primary (8-10), Middle School (11-14), and High School (15-18)—ensuring that students can participate in categories suited to their skills and interests. Each Globeducate school holds a preliminary competition, launched before the summer holidays, and submits winning entries to the global competition in November. This process not only ensures a high standard of entries but also encourages school communities to come together and celebrate their students’ achievements and talents.

Winners receive professionally printed poster-sized versions of their artwork or writing, and schools display posters featuring all the winning entries, celebrating the achievements of their students.
