Nobel International School Algarve´s new campus opens at Almancil in September 2020 and will welcome students from Nursery to Year 6, ages 3 to 11.
The school is situated on a plot of land in the Algarve region´s ´Golden Triangle´, close to the popular luxury golfing and lifestyle resorts of Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago and will open with nearly 50 students who will follow the Cambridge Assessment International Curriculum.
Construction of the campus is near completion and has been designed to incorporate architectural elements that allow for a mindfulness curriculum, with a Pause Pod, sensory gardens and a Feng Shui-inspired central quad. A dedicated Astroturf, multi-media centre, multi-purpose hall, library and dedicated playground for Pre-School will create a dynamic and forward-thinking 21st-century learning environment. Classrooms will all be wifi-linked with smart boards – it is a state-of-the-art and being there to see the first spade of earth dug was just brilliant.
Mike Farrer, Head of School at Nobel Algarve, said: “To realise this dream to extend our school brand into the Almancil area is a natural progression and a very exciting project for all involved. As the only school in the Algarve to be part of a global education, we present a unique proposition and opportunity in the market here and are able to recruit and develop the very best teachers and to allow our students to benefit from the inter-school festivals and competitions.”
Head Teacher of Almancil, Maria Tomé, said: “We are now at the exciting stage of fitting out classrooms and designing the interiors of our learning environment, and the final touches of ordering books, fitting coat pegs etc. We are looking forward to welcoming the school´s first children. The way in which the school has been designed and landscaped allows us to offer an innovative and creative experience that will stimulate and inspire teachers as well as students.”
