PASCAL Education (Cyprus) Ltd., the largest group of K12 English and Bilingual schools in Cyprus, joined Globeducate on 10th August. The schools are located across three campuses in the cities of Lefkosia, Lemesos and Larnaka.
Congratulations to students from our leading IB and premium international schools in Andorra, France, India, Italy, Spain and the UK, who achieved a group average of 34 points compared with a global average result of 32.
Students and teachers in Globeducate schools came together across the world on June 5th to celebrate Wear it Wild day in support of WWF. From Lisbon and Milan to Rome, Barcelona and Madrid, across the whole of Europe, everyone had a great day raising awareness and money.
Artistic expression comes in many forms and can cross cultures, languages and nationalities. Each year we invite our students from all Globeducate schools in nine countries, across four age groups, from five to 18, to share what inspires them about a given theme.
Across seven of the nine countries Globeducate works in, 22 schools are now Certified Eco Schools, with 20 more schools already progressing on their Eco-Schools journey and pending certification, and three more schools registered to start the Eco-Schools programme in September.
Eight Globeducate schools in Spain are celebrating achieving their Green Flag, after completing the first stage of the Eco Schools programme during the last two years. This recognition followed visits during the month of May from members of Eco Schools organisations around the world – spending time in these Globeducate schools to measure the success of the programme and to ensure targets laid out in action plans had been met.
lobeducate schools from across Europe participated in the 2022 Globeducate Olympic Games with a record 25 competing teams recording their entries between 6th and 9th June and attending a virtual closing ceremony featuring an interview with a former international athlete.
The results podium was dominated by Agora Sant Cugat International School and Granada College, with Colegio Areteia, Mougins British International School and Agora Madrid International School also featuring, with gold medals going the schools listed below.
Once a year, Globeducate Debates gives students aged 10 to 18 in Globeducate schools the opportunity to pitch their ideas against an opposing team in another Globeducate school in another country. Between June 13th and 17th 2022, students from across a wide age range and six countries are taking part in our annual student debate competition.
The inspiring and dynamic Aula del Mar project of Agora International School, run at Agora Portals, was selected to feature at the annual national meeting of Eco Schools in Spain. Together with other schools, the Ecoescuelas event showcased the fantastic work in this ocean-studies and sustainability project. Thanks to the students involved and members of the Eco-Schools committee, Eva, Alex Raferty, Claudia and Jasmine. It is fantastic to see that all age groups are contributing to this project.
