A passion for learning
Located in the capital of the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, TIPS Chennai is a co-educational international school providing a high-quality international education for children from pre-school to grade 12. The curriculum is based on the IB system offering classes from EYP (Early Years Programme) and working towards achieving the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma at pre-university level.
The school operates from three separate sites - Perungudi, Ambattur and Oragadam (Outward Learning Centre) - each campus being dedicated to a different educational stage. TIPS Chennai provides excellent, subject-specific facilities and resources, including laboratories, a swimming pool, sports pitches and an auditorium incorporating all the latest technology.
In contrast to more traditional schools, TIPS Chennai focuses on learning. The school employs highly qualified teaching professionals who use the latest teaching techniques to encourage and guide students to think creatively and independently and to take responsibility for their academic progress. As the world becomes more globalised, TIPS Chennai prepares students for future success not only academically and professionally but by instilling values such as social awareness, respect and tolerance.
TIPS Chennai offers a wide range of extra-academic activities including sports, dramatic and creative arts, community projects, excursions and leadership camps. The school believes in the importance of a balanced education, encouraging young people to actively participate in student life, discover new talents and develop their skills.
TIPS Chennai joined Globeducate in 2013 and has since benefited from the advantages available to schools forming part of one of the most prestigious international educational organisations in the world.
