At the British American Pre-School Milan (BAPS) and the Bilingual European School Milan (BES), we guide children aged two to 18 on a rich and inspiring educational journey that brings out the very best of a bilingual international education and develops a pathway towards a fully international education experience in Milan with multilingual opportunities.
Founded in 1987, the British American Pre-School Milan (BAPS) is a Private School in Milan offers a full-immersion English programme where learning feels natural, joyful and engaging. Our IB Primary Years Programme approach is centred on ´play-based´ learning and ´learning by doing´, which gives a strong foundation for the transition into the bilingual learning path at Bilingual European School Milan (BES).
Since its foundation in 1999, BES has combined the Italian Ministerial curriculum with the IB Primary Years Programme, offering a bilingual education that fosters critical thinking and a global perspective. As our students progress, they continue their journey through a carefully balanced programme that brings together the Italian curriculum with international perspectives, leading to a dual High School diploma: the Italian Ministerial Diploma and the Canadian Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Every child at Bilingual European School Milan (BES) is recognised as an individual and is encouraged to develop their own interests and strengths, and to build confidence and skills in subject areas that are new or challenging. Learning takes place in inspiring spaces designed by internationally renowned architect Rosan Bosch Design. Across two campuses, BES and BAPS offer students the opportunity to foster a life-long love of learning. Going beyond the traditional curriculum, our school hosts a permanent Bruno Munari® art laboratory and an accredited LEGO® Education Innovation Studio. Bilingual European School (BES) is also recognised by Avanguardieerie Educative as a centre of excellence for educational innovation in Milan.
