The Indian Public School Coimbatore main campus hosted more than 250 students in 50 teams at TIPS Coimbatore earlier this month for the inaugural ROBOTICA championship 2020.

A first of its kind in the city, The Indian Public School Coimbatore organised this inter-school Robotics championship for students on 1st February, welcoming more than 50 teams from various schools to showcase their skills in automation. The event was presided over by three judges who are Heads of Departments from Anna University.

The event was created in a bid to provide a platform to these young learners to test their skills, understand the design, get exposure from their counterparts and to develop not just technical skills but also work life skills at this level.

It was also the first ever autonomous Robotics Competition that focused on STEM ( Science ,Engineering ,Technology and Maths). The competition offered three different categories -Beginner,Intermediate and Advanced.

ROBOTICA aims at providing a platform for students to develop their thinking and to create innovations for the next generation. The Indian Public School Coimbatore won the overall championship of ROBOTICA CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE 2020.
